About CST Somato-Emotional Elements 2 "SE2" Expressions of the Body

Pre-requisite: SE1 (must be min. of six months prior to SE2)

Here in this three-day class we deepen our awareness of the innate ability of the body to heal itself. We explore the notion that the body has an inner voice and can express itself -- and that the awareness of this expression can be used as a therapeutic tool. The student will learn how to palpate fluctuations in the craniosacral rhythm that reflect the body's self-correcting mechanisms.

New skills offered will include direct communication with the inner wisdom through dialogue, listening and palpation of changes in the craniosacral rhythm and the tissues. Techniques to facilitate mobility of the tissues of the "Avenue of Expression" (as described by John Upledger) will be taught to assist the communication process.

Recognizing and honoring the patient's biological process and the ability of the body to express itself will be central themes of this class.

Feedback from a student in our December 2019 SE2 class with Don Ash:

"In SE2 I was surrounded by open and beautiful teachers and learners. I was given a safe and intimate environment to question, be vulnerable and learn. I came out of it letting go of having to connect a definitive line between point A and point B; I learned there is no need to put a hard time line to my personal and professional "goals."  I felt more comfortable with my process, the process of the person on my table, and the people in my life. I am home now, settling back in, and I feel like a better person, wife, mom, daughter, sister, friend; a better therapist, and better patient. Thank you Don, Sarah and Jill for making this all possible. Thank you to all the learners in the class for your openness and support.  CSTA is a special learning group and I feel so lucky to be part of the process."
